If your site is down or flagged as unsafe, this is urgent work and I treat it that way. What happens: 1. I take a full copy before touching anything, so nothing gets lost while fixing. 2. Find the problem: malware, a failed update, a plugin conflict, an expired certificate, a hosting issue. 3. Clean and restore. Malware means removing injected code and replacing compromised core files, not just running a scanner. 4. Harden: change every credential, remove unused users and plugins, set up backups and updates properly. 5. Write down what happened and how it got in — because a site that gets cleaned but not understood gets hit again. If the site can only be restored from a backup and the backup is gone, I will tell you straight away rather than billing you for hope.
