Webflow CMS collections get built quickly and then outgrown. Three years later there are fields nobody uses, references pointing at deleted items, and a blog where half the posts render wrong. What I do: • Audit what exists: every collection, field and reference, and what is actually used on the site • Restructure into collections that match what you publish today • Migrate existing items across without losing URLs — redirects included • Rebuild the templates so new items render correctly without manual fixing • Write down the structure, so the next person inherits a map rather than a puzzle This is unglamorous work and it is most of what keeps a four-year-old site usable.
