Mixing decides whether your listener hears every word or reaches for the volume every thirty seconds. For podcasts: • Noise reduction, room tone handling and plosive repair • Level matching between hosts and guests recorded on different equipment • Editing out long silences, false starts and repeated takes if you want it • Music beds and stingers mixed to sit under speech, not over it • Mastered to podcast loudness standards so platforms do not re-process it badly For music: • Balance, panning, EQ and dynamics across the stems • Bus processing and glue, with the arrangement's dynamics preserved rather than flattened • Mastering for streaming targets, with an alternative louder version if you want one for club or radio I check every mix on studio monitors, consumer headphones and a phone speaker before delivery, because that last one is where most people will actually hear it. Send stems where you can. A stereo bounce limits what I can fix, and I will tell you honestly what is out of reach.
